Recently I received the photo disc in the mail from our most excellent photographer Melanie. I just have to share some more of these images. Some photos you may have already seen in the slideshow, but they warrant being seen again. It seems so hard to believe that this blessed event was already 3 weeks ago. I wish I could somehow slow time down, because it seems to be flying by at warp speed! Enjoy these awesome photos!
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17 NIV)
WoW…watching that made me live that day over again! I, along with everyone else, was so nervous/hopeful/anxious/amazed/humbled/overwhelmed/THANKFUL/in love/happy/scared/thankful/scared/thankful/thankful/thankful! Keep doing what you are doing, Nora Rose Yusko! You hold so many hearts in the the palm of your tiny hand!
Utterly priceless…
Aleisa and William, hope you all got a great night’s sleep last night. Enjoy catching up on Nora and your precious family each night. Continuing to pray for your sweet little prophet. Thanks for being so vulnerable and allowing us to be on this journey beside you. Oh and the pics of Gavin and Greta with Nora are adorable. Such joy in their faces as they hold their baby sis.
that scripture is my blog “theme.” our children are a gift, no matter how many chromosomes….they are a direct and unmistakable gift from God. LOVE these photos, it was Melanie’s beautiful slideshow that led me here 🙂
Such great photos! Nora is a blessing!
I just wanted you to know how much your sweet Nora, and beautiful blog, has touched me. We lost a baby in July 2010 at 17 weeks, she (due to a mix up at the hospital where I miscarried, they did not do the genetic testing we requested and we never found out if it was a boy or girl, but for some reason I’ve always thought the baby was a girl) most likely had Trisomy 18. I had blood work taken that came back with our baby having a greater than one in 10 chance of having Trisomy 18. I miscarried before we could have an amnio. The whole experience was so very traumatic and I remember the worry, the endless worry, while I read everything I could about Trisomy 18 in the days after we got the blood test results while we were waiting for the amnio. So many what ifs, how will we handle this? and every other emotion under the sun. How I wish my faith had been strong enough to just turn it over to God. Then, the trauma of the miscarriage; by far the worst experience of my life. We were devastated, as were our five children. I truly did not think I would ever recover. Time has healed, and the birth of our sweet Lucia last June has helped heal us as well. But, that hole in my heart is still there and will be until I meet my precious baby again in heaven. Bless your precious family, and bless your sweet Nora! She truly is a gift from God and a testament that ALL life is precious! Much love to your family from ours!
Michelle

I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR LETTING ME TAKE THIS JOURNEY WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. NORA IS SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL, AND SUCH A BLESSING TO THE WORLD. SHE HAS TOUCHED SO MANY LIVES, I KNOW SHE REALLY HAS MINE. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THESE WONDERFUL PICTURES. AS I WATCHED THROUGH MY TEARS, I WAS THINKING WHERE HAVE THESE 3 WEEKS GONE! HOPE YOU AND HUBBY GOT A LOT OF REST LAST NIGHT. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. YOU ALL ARE LOVED BY SO MANY PEOPLE, THAT HAVE ADOPTED YOU ALL FOR THEIR OWN FAMILY. LOVE AND PRAYERS TO ALL OF YOU GUYS.
Absolutely beautiful!
Your daughter is so beautiful and precious! She’s lucky to have such love around her and such strong parents! Much love to Nora and your whole family.
The first thing I said to my newborn daughter was, “I didn’t know it was you.” Praying for your little miracle.
The photos taken by your friend are out of this world. What a way to capture the moment. It looks like you had several family members and friends to share the special occasion as well. As a mother of a specials needs child, cherish the days.
I came across this prayer tonight by St. Francis de Sales and thought immediately of your family. I hope it gives you strength and peace to live each day according to His will.
Do not look forward in fear
to the changes of life;
rather, look to them
with full hope that as they arise,
God, whose very own you are,
will lead you safely through all things;
and when you cannot stand it,
God will carry you in His arms.
Do not fear what may happen tomorrow;
the same everlasting Father
who cares for you today
will take care of you then and every day.
He will either shield you from suffering,
or will give you unfailing
strength to bear it.
Be at peace, and put aside
all anxious thought and imagination.
-St. Francis de Sales
The Lord bless you and keep you! The Lord let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you! The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace! -Numbers 6:24-26
She redefines perfect! I enjoyed every last photo, thanks for sharing beautiful Nora.
