Nora had her G.I. appointment today. It went very well and alleviated our concerns about Nora’s intermittent gaggy-ness/spit ups and not pooping in 5 days. The gagging and spitting up is related to reflux which could continue on for another 8 months or so. As she’s getting a little more active and using more muscles, it could be putting different pressures on her belly which causes the spitting up. Not really anything to be concerned about. Again her belly feels fine, no obstructions. Dr. said he really didn’t feel much of anything in her intestines. With having had the diarrhea for so long her body didn’t have the time to absorb the nutrients as it normally would have. Now that things are back to normal she’s utilizing most of what she’s taking in, with very little left over for stinking up diapers and baffs.
Nora still has lots of boogies, but her lungs aren’t being compromised in any way. They sound nice and clear!
Nora was such a good, good girl for the short duration of our time at Children’s. She was very good for the car rides too. She’d made an appointment at the Spa Baff immediately when we got home.

Then she got cuddled to sleep by her Muthr who loves her like mad!!
When she woke up there was silliness to be had.

Did the dr. offer any medications to help with the reflux? Kinsey has been on Zantac for about a year now and it helps, although at this point we’re trying to get Prevacid instead since it’s a little stronger. I think a lot of the T18 kiddos take something for reflux.
Just had to comment not sure what u ment by bird or angel yes I see a bird but I also see Nora to the right of the clouds !!!! I think it’s a Clair sign with you and your special bird thing and also special Nora. I have no idea if you will receive this, but I thought I would give it a try. Somehow I was led to the photoblog of little Nora’s triumphant arrival, and have been following your blog ever since. The reason I am writing is because I want to share something with you, with no motive or intent behind it other than to help you heal, and if you feel called to, to share this with others.
I have a friend, a missionary musician named Danielle Rose. Right now she is working with a charity called China Little Flower, maybe you have heard of it. This organization cares for orphans in China who suffer from various illnesses, terminal illness, disabilities or abandonment. Its volunteers offer loving care to show the value of each human life and to build a culture that, “respects, protects, loves and serves life.” Anyway, Danielle has recently recorded an album focused solely on adoption, post-abortive healing, pro-life issues, redemptive suffering, and just really trying to protect the value and the culture of life. LOVE THE PICTURES TODAY. WHEN NORA GOT IN THE SPA BATH SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE IS REALLY RELAXED AND GLAD TO BE BACK HOME. LOVE THE ONE OF YOU AND HER CUDDLING. SHE IS SLEEPING REALLY GOOD. I LIKE HOW SHE LOVES COLORS. THEY REALLY GETS HER ATTENTION. I HAD TO GO BACK AND LOOK CLOSELY AT THE CLOUDS, BUT I DO SEE WHAT AMY SAYS ABOUT THE LITTLE FACE IN THE CLOUDS. I ALSO SEE TWO LITTLE EYES, A LITTLE NOSE AND A LITTLE MOUTH. ALSO KINDA LOOKS LIKE AN OUTLINE OF A LITTLE FACE. I DID NOT SEE IT AT FIRST, SO I CLOSED MY EYES, OPENED THEM, AND LOOKED ONLY AT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CLOUDS. THAT IS WHEN I SAW WHAT AMY WAS SEEING. SO HAPPY THAT NORA IS USING THE EXTRA MUSCLES, SINCE SHE IS GETTING STRONGER. ALTHOUGH REFLUX IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, IT CAN BE RELIEVED WITH SOME TUMMY MEDICATION. SO HAPPY HER LITTLE LUNGS ARE CLEAR. NOW IF THE BUGGIES WOULD JUST LEAVE!!!!! HA! HA! GLAD THINGS ARE LOOKING SO MUCH BRIGHTER THESE DAYS. LOVE YOU ALL. TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS.
