Cardiologist Appointment

Thursday

Once again we were placed in the room with the 3 chickens — 3 birds. Once again there was no need to fear. Once again, God carried us safely through that morning just as He always, always has!

I love this excerpt from Streams in the Desert: Never look ahead to the changes and challenges of this life in fear. Instead, as they arise look at them with the full assurance that God, whose you are, will deliver you out of them. Hasn’t He kept you safe up to now? So hold His loving hand tightly, and He will lead you safely through all things. And when you cannot stand, He will carry you in His arms.

Do not look ahead to what may happen tomorrow. The same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering or He will give you His unwavering strength that you may bear it. Be at peace, then, and set aside all anxious thoughts and worries. Francis de Sales

What a beautiful reminder!!

Nora did not care too much for the echocardiogram and made sure we all knew that! She tolerated the quick EKG while distracted by a fabulous magic wand and was happy for the rest of the visit.

Here is our stinky little Cupid waiting patiently for the doctor with Daddy.

The echo and EKG did not show any changes and we don’t have to come back until April. Nora looks and sounds great and her belly troubles are not related to anything with her heart, praise God!!!

Finally of finallies we were safe back home kicked back in the baff!

So fresh and so clean!

It was an exhausting morning so a long afternoon nap was certainly in order!

The weather was nice for about 5 minutes, so Nora and I walked up to the bus stop to wait for the big kids! They were very excited to see us!

Friday
Nora is usually asleep while the big kids are getting ready for school, but was wide awake this morning. She just wants to be close to everyone!

Someone else was a little grumpy this morning…

Today was the first day without any stinky diapers!! She did get a little gaggy throughout the day at different intervals but never puked. This has been one of Nora’s best days in quite awhile!

  1. Lol, sweet Greta was not grumpy…. It just happened there was a ” Mamarazzi” snapping at 7am…. Celebrity baby, instead, was happily posing as she’s used to being taken pics anytime…
Glad Nornor is doing much better. It usually happens when (at last) the doctor appointment date approaches, ha.
Have a wonderful weekend. Muuuaahhh 🙂

  2. HI NORA, GAVIN, GRETA, ALEISA AND WILLIAM. SO HAPPY EVERYONE IS FEELING MUCH BETTER. GRETA PROBABLY JUST WANTED A FEW MORE MINUTES OF SLEEP THIS MORNING. DON’T SEE GRETA TOO OFTEN WITHOUT THAT BIG BEAUTIFUL SMILE. OF COURSE NORA WAS HAPPY-GO-LUCKY IN ALL HER PICTURES. I LOVE ALL THE PICTURES THAT YOU SEND ALEISA. LOVE THE ONE OF NORA LOOKING AT THE WAND, WITH MUCH WONDER OF WHAT IS THAT!!!!! GLAD YOU GOT THE CHICKEN ROOM, IT ALWAYS KINDA PUTS YOUR MIND AT REST. SOUNDS LIKE NORA HAD A REALLY GOOOOOOD CHECKUP. PRAISE GOD FOR WATCHING OVER HER AND LETTING HER DO SO GOOD AND GETTING SO STRONG. LOVE YOU ALL,

  3. That last picture of Nora looking up at you is beautiful. She has such an amazing mommy! A mommy who is teaching other mommies like me how to love our babies more and put our trust in God through daily challenges big or small.
Thank you Nora for sharing your mommy through her writings with the rest of the world!
We are praying you get to be ‘cordless’ soon!
Love from South Carolina (a former N Ky. girl)
