{For some reason this didn’t post last night as I had intended!!}
On top of being miserable from her shots, Nora has a very stuffy nose. Not sure of it’s a result of the vaccinations or if she has a cold. I’m inclined to believe it’s the latter, as the big kids are a little sniffly. She’s not eating much and has been a cantankerous little thing for much of the day. We had a few moments of contentment, however.
I had been reluctant to put her in the bath tub because of her foul mood. There has been the rare occasion when we’d fill the big tub all the way up, get the oxygen tanks all situated, etc. and she wants nothing to do with bathies. This seemed it would be one of those instances, if I had to guess. Apparently I was WRONG!!!
Crazy cute and sweet!!!!
Please pray that Nora’s tiny stuffy little nose will be back to normal soon and that she’s not too terribly uncomfortable! Thank you so much!!

Post bathies cuddling!
If I say, ‘I will forget my complaint,
I will change my expression, and smile,’
(Job 9:27 NIV)
Goodnight!
They are all so sweet!!!! Hope she feels better soon!
You have the most adorable children! Thank you so much for all you share each day with us!
haha…now that’s a good bath!
Dear Aleisa:
Each morning I look forward to your posts and pictures of your precious family. Today, seeing that sweet Nora smiling brought tears to my eyes. Each day I am reminded that there is joy in everything and eneryone because of you and your family. Your blog is a gift to me. Thank you!
Many prayers!! Can’t wait until I get to meet you guys in September!!!!!!!!
Nora’s bath pictures made me laugh aloud! She is wearing the exact same “crazy face” that my own daughter makes when she is just SO EXCITED about what’s going on. If Nora’s nose is making her crazy, I recommend the Nose Frida. It works much better than bulb syringes.
I have also heard raves about the nose Frida! 🙂
Saw three birds on my walk with my kids (twice!) and thought of you. I have been praying for you and your family. Thank you for sharing Nora’s story through this blog. You remind me to enjoy my time with my kids and not sweat the small stuff. God bless you!
I have been meaning to write this forever and it keeps getting longer because more keeps happening so bear with me. I am religious and do have faith but I am also in the medical profession (actually a nurse at the local children’s hospital where you take Nora) so I always need proof or reasoning so I was having a hard time believing the three birds. Sometimes I thought you were reaching a little but I no longer believe that. I was thinking about it one day and decided “OK God, show me three birds.” Well, nothing happened but several days later I was pulling out of a parking lot and practically ran over three birds and did not even realize it for a few minutes and then it hit me” there were the birds but not by my time but when God was ready to show them to me”. I meant to write to you then but never did.
Seven years ago my mom passed away (I miss her every minute of my life), and since we knew she was very ill, I asked her what was going to be her sign to us so we knew she was there. She never answered me and I think one reason was because my mom was a fighter and did not want to acknowledge that she may not make it. Anyway her birthday was April 14 and everytime my sister sees that number she saw it as a sign from my mom. Also in her job she has to ask birthdates and names and is constantly telling me about a name that was my mom’s or a birthdate that was my mom’s that she has come into contact with. Once again I felt like she was reaching.
We recently returned from an amazing trip to Disney. One evening when we got off a ride and was in the shop you end up in after the ride, I asked and employee a question and her name was Nina. That is my sister’s name and a very uncommon name. The next day at lunch an Asian cast member (that is what employees at Disney are called) walked us to our table. It was my husband who noticed her name and pointed it to me…..Eileen my mom’s name. A very uncommon name and not one that sounds Asian!!! To top it off that evening another cast member who assisted us was named Nancy, my name. How amazing. My dad passed away when I was 8 so it was just the three of us my mom Eileen, my sister Nina, an me Nancy. I no longer think that you or my sister are “reaching”. I am not sure if they are signs from God or my mom or both but I love it.
The next day in Epcot we came out of a ride and looked up in the sky and a plane was “writing”, it said U + God = Love and then it made a smile face. I took a picture of it on my phone but have not idea how I could post it here. It put a big smile on my face. We had an amazing trip which I have been planning for three years. Everything seemed to work out in our favor, the wait times, the weather, getting to the bus stop just tim time to catch a bus…..I am not sure if that was a little of my mom putting in a good word for us or just direct intervention from God but I do feel blessed.
Recently I catch myself unknowingly glancing at the clock and is says 4:14, my mom’s birthday and it makes me smile.
Thank you for your beautiful messages to the world and for helping me see the messages from God and my mom. I pray often for Nora and your family. I have often thought how amazing it is that God chose your family of everyone in the world to be blessed with such a precious baby and in charge of spreading his beautiful messages!
At our house, we say, “if you have a crab, stick it in water.”
i hope she does better
Check to make sure Nora, Gavin and Gretta dont have allergies. Ragweed came on early and it’s foerce! We were giving my 5 yr old cold medies and all along she needed allergy medies. (mother of the Year award not for me… ) I felt like an idiot! Regardless, I will pray all 3 feel better! PS – Gretta has THE BEST smile I have ever seen!
I LOVE THE PICTURES OF ALL THREE OF THE CHILDREN. JUST BY LOOKING AT THE PICTURES OF THEM, I CAN TELL THEY LOVE THEIR BABY SISTER SOOOOO MUCH. YOU AND WILLIAM HAVE BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN. I HAVE TO AGREE GRETA HAS A WONDERFUL SMILE. SHE SEEMS TO ALWAYS BE HAPPY. GAVIN IS A VERY GOOD LOOKING YOUNG MAN, AND HE ALSO HAS A GREAT SMILE. AND THEN THERE IS LITTLE NORA, WITH HER BEAUTIFUL SMILE, WHICH SHE HAD A LOT OF THEM IN THE BIG TUB. IT SEEMED LIKE SHE REALLY WAS ENJOYING HER SWIM TODAY. HOPE AND PRAY THAT ALL THREE OF THE CHILDREN WILL FEEL BETTER TOMORROW, AND NO MORE SNIFFLES. LOVE YOU ALL. GOD BLESS.
Can’t handle the cuteness!! Especially the sibling pics!
