Nora – TWO WEEKS OLD!!

We’re finally home from the hospital just in time to celebrate Nora’s TWO WEEK birthday! The heavens celebrated by installing a beautiful rainbow in the sky:

We’re pretty exhausted from our long extended weekend, so I don’t have much to write about tonight. Nora is doing very well so far and we haven’t had any complications with the oxygen.

Here are pictures from today:

  2. So happy to see you home- I hope you get some rest…although you look beautiful for being exhausted πŸ™‚

  3. Nightly prayer from our four-year-old son, Cason: “God, please help Gavin and Greta and baby Nora’s Mom and Dad and help them not to be sad. Please hold baby Nora in your hands.”

We’re all praying for you. Keep looking up.

    Love, The Barry Family

  5. Rest well– glad she is back home and doing well. She continues to be in our prayers as do you all. Thanks you for sharing your life with us.

  6. OUR ELECTRIC WENT OUT FOR SEVERAL HOURS TODAY AND I COULD NOT WAIT FOR IT TO COME BACK ON. BACK ON AFTER 12:00 AM. FIRST THING I DID WAS RUN TO MY COMPUTER, COULD NOT WAIT TO READ YOUR POST FOR TODAY. I AM SO THANKFUL THAT MY PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED. LITTLE NORA IS HOME WITH THE FAMILY THAT LOVES HER SOOOO MUCH. I AM SO THANKFUL SHE IS DOING GOOD, AND NO PROBLEM WITH THE OXYGEN. LOVE THE PICTURES. GET A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP AND YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WAKE UP IN THE MORNING WITH THE LITTLE BUNDLE OF BLESSING THAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU. LOVE YOUR FAMILY, AND PRAYING GOOD DAYS AHEAD.

  7. Nora is such a beautiful little girl! (She resembles my Lilly who lived for 17 months with Trisomy 18.) It’s obvious Nora is a little fighter. πŸ™‚ I am so glad to see you have such a strong faith in God. After all we’ve been through, I can NOT imagine not having God to lean on. Treasure every day and take lots and lots of pictures! πŸ™‚ I am praying for you all. And praying that God will continue to bless Nora’s life and you will have a lot of time with her. She is a glory to Him!

  8. Your sweet baby Nora is just beautiful. God please keep baby Nora and her family wrapped
in your loving arms. Please give them strength and encouragement each day. In his wonderful and majestic Name amen

  9. Been praying for your sweet girl! Thankful to hear a story about your faith in God and your trust that He will be the greatest doctor for your Nora. I believe she will be healed and live an incredible life, with an incredible testimony because of your faith! God bless!

  10. Even though we are complete strangers (I found your blog via a friend on facebook and have been following for a while now), I feel the need to just tell you that I am praying for you. I have a Nora as well who is 3 and we added your Nora to our prayers each night. You are so strong, much stronger than I think I could be. I wait each day for the update on sweet Nora, longing to hear how she is doing. I hope this finds you well. Enjoy the sunshine today.

  11. My mother came over to tell us about her friend’s daughter with T18 today. SHe is 6 years old and the little girl who supposedly would never walk chases after her baby brother. Be encouraged! You continue in our prayers

  12. So happy to say Happy Birthday 2 week old Nora Rose. I love the picture of her with her brother (or at least I assume it was). What a handsome young man he is. Prayers continue for all.

  13. As I hold my own baby girl (born April 5th ), you so beautifully remind me how precious life is and in this very moment….we are called to fully live. He gives us “now”, what a gift!
Praying alongside the many others for God’s perfect Will over Nora and your entire family! She is such a gift! YOU are such a gift! Thank you for humbly sharing your journey. The Kingdom is so clearly present when you write!

  14. I have been reading your blog for about a week now, and I am so glad to hear this wonderful news! Nora is truly a perfect little miracle! God bless you all! Much love from Columbus, Ohio, Natalie D.

  15. I just started reading this a couple days ago yet I find myself thinking of you throughout the day. Wondering how Nora is and checking my phone for an update. Your strength and faith are so unbelievable! I was just driving home and the song “All of me” by Matt Hamitt came on the radio. Ive loved this song since it came out but today I heard it in such a different way. It fits you so perfectly. You are and will continue in my prayers:)

  16. Just found your blog and I am loving the pictures of your family, especially your sweet baby girl. I have to take second glances because your Nora reminds me so much of our Lulu Grace. Isn’t it amazing the gifts God gives us? They are truly beautiful treasures. Praying for a miracle. {Job 5:9}

  17. My little girl, Mia Rose, and I said a special prayer for Nora Rose and your family. Like my little girl said, “Jesus will take of her.” I am amazed at the faith of my little girl.

  18. Aleisha,
Go glad that you are home. Hope that you can get some rest. Nora is adorable! Your blog is amazing, as you are too. Enjoy each moment!
