Near and dear to my heart are the families who have endured the tragic loss of a pregnancy(s) or infant(s). October 15th was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. At 7:00 PM many people lit candles in memory of these sweet angels. The candles below were lit and photographed that evening too.
Because of Nora’s diagnosis I have come to know several many families who have little angels waiting for them in heaven. Each little life, no matter how short was incredibly meaningful and not without purpose.
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
(Psalm 139:13-16 NIV)
My heartfelt prayers are with each of you.
So heartbreaking. Nothing like the pain of losing a child, no matter how old. May God repair the aching hearts and bless the parents/families with memories.
Thank you so much for remembering Alexandria. It has been a blessing to know you and your family.
Thank you for doing that preeentation. I did not know any of those precious babies, but read each name and thought about each family.
What a Beautiful Tribute! 💙💜💚
I didn’t know there was a pregnancy/infant loss day. Thanks for the info! I also know people who lost their unborn babies. One of the babies in heaven I know is also named Ava.
“I like that…because I love Ryan so much. Thank you for doing that for my brother.”
-Love from Jacob, age 5 🙂
Beautiful tribute! You are truly an angel here on Earth! I sat and read through every name praying for peace for each family. It just shows that you have made so many connections with grieving families and you and your words have been a blessing to them all I’m sure!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MEMORY OF EACH AND EVER ONE OF THESE BABIES. THANK YOU ALEISA FOR SHARING. SO SAD, BUT HEAVEN MUST BE SO WONDERFUL WITH THE BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN. I CAN PICTURE JESUS WITH THE CHILDREN ON HIS LAP AND GATHERED AROUND HIM.
