Thursday
It was another beautiful fall-like morning. A wisping layer of fog folded up over the hills from the river valley below. It’s attempt to enshroud the neighborhood was thwarted by the conquering sun – a beautiful display.
And onward we trooped to the second day of school. Sometimes Nora sleeps while I’m getting everyone ready and fed. When she doesn’t, I have 2 awesome helpers to entertain her. This morning we were all entertained with the liveliness of a tiny straw hat on a tiny sweet head ~
“Git doze chickens fed!!!”
Gavin strolled Nora up to the bus stop while Greta and I tagged along behind. We had just enough time to snap a quick picture!
“THE BUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
I started to head back home with Nora and noticed the beautiful rainbow spot over our house ~
God continued, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and everything living around you and everyone living after you. I’m putting my rainbow in the clouds, a sign of the covenant between me and the Earth. From now on, when I form a cloud over the Earth and the rainbow appears in the cloud, I’ll remember my covenant between me and you and everything living, that never again will floodwaters destroy all life. When the rainbow appears in the cloud, I’ll see it and remember the eternal covenant between God and everything living, every last living creature on Earth.” (Genesis 9:12-16 MSG)
Over our house, no less!!!! 💝
In awe of the rainbow, I continued on to our house. I took notice of the beautiful mild weather matched by Nora’s pleasant disposition and decided to turn around. We went for an almost 3 mile walk!
Back home again Nora was best left naked. The Sunday night mucus has gradually developed into a full blown upper respiratory funk. Hopefully it runs its course soon.
Here’s a naked little farmer.
“Get doze dang crows outta my crops!!!!!!!”
Although the above picture portrays a cantankerous, sick, crabby baby – she is for the most part a happy baby girl. She’s got boogies, but she’ll still squeal at ya!! Boogies be gone!!
I went to take a picture with my phone and found this in the gallery.
Can’t stop laughing!!!! I have my own built-in comedy club here.
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. (Proverbs 17:22 NLT)
Friday
Kate R. stayed the night with Nornor last night, recovered from her 100 mile endurance run that took place at the end of July! I’d have liked to have stayed up all night chatting with her, but that would have defeated the purpose of her coming all the way over to watch Nornor. We agreed to get together for lunch, said goodnight and then I proceeded to sneak out the front door in my pajamas to go take a look at it:
You don’t see one o’ them stickers every day! I tried to peel it off to stick on my own car but it was stuck on there pretty good. “All the attention without all the effort!” is what I say!! 😉 WINK!
Nora still has lots of boogies, but she’s in good spirits, her lungs are clear, and she’s not febrile. The boogies are just causing lots of pukies.
Check out our little Beanie Baby’s awesome head control!! She’s getting so strong!
“I’m on? Oh… Okay…”
“Hi! It’s me, Nornor! Today I’m going to perform an operatic duet with my boyfriend.”
“Lllllaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!”
(Pause)
“Hey… Are deez beans? What ARE deez tings? Deez tings are kinda neat!”
The day was relaxing and uneventful. Nora did manage to come to dinner in a pretty dress tonight, however! She’s really well-bred and refined!
Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
(Psalm 107:15)
Happy Heart, Happy Heart! Lovin’ the Singin’ with her Boyfriend and that Dress! Oh my! Love, Love, Love to Nora Rose and her lovely mama, Daddy, Brudder and Sister!
Boogies be gone! She’s getting so big and cute as a button…love her straw hat!
Yay !!. She’s sitting in her Bumbo like a big girl !!. She’s gained a lot of head control!!. I’m sooo happy to see this !!.
The ear tubes will be a great solution !!
Muuaahhh 🙂 Love u all !!
IT REALLY MAKES MY DAY SEEING THAT NORA IS HOLDING HER HEAD UP SO GOOD. THE BIG KIDS LOOK SO CUTE AS THEY HEAD OUT TO SCHOOL. NORA REALLY LIKES PLAYING IN THE BEANS. NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT LETTING MY CHILDREN PLAY IN A BOWL OF BEANS, IT MUST BE ALL THE MOVING THAT THE BEANS DO. SO THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING IS GOING WELL. LOVE AND PRAYERS TO ALL.
Tears of joy to see Nora sitting and holding her head up so well! Lots of hard work, patience, and love to reach this point. Nora you are doing so well!!
