Someone is busy getting ready for Easter!
Nora made a bunny hat in therapy this morning. Stickers on her little fingers are really quite fascinating! She was sooo cute!!!
A baff was in order after all that hard work!
Gavin seems to be faring better than I had expected after the series of fever-induced night terrors that he went through last night. It was impossible to wake him while he was SCREAMING and carrying on about pine trees and carnivals in his bedroom! He had very little recollection of any of it this morning. He has a low fever and a bit of congestion, but there has been no puking. This is something altogether different than what Greta had. He’s eating well and staying hydrated, so hopefully this one will be out of here quickly!!
I can’t thank you enough for your prayers!!
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
(Romans 12:12)
Love her cute little smiles. She is truly a doll baby!
Omg, that big smile made my day !!!.
Praying for Gavin.
Muaaahhh 🙂
Love, love, love to see her therapy pictures! She’s getting so big!! The hat is too cute. 🙂
So glad Gavin is doing better!
Love the pic of her in her Easter hat!!
I need to get over for some Aleisa / Nora time so let me know when Gavin is well!

So sweet!
Oh yikes, poor Gavin! I’m glad he’s on the mend. BTW. I think your kids have a computer virus. I mean, we went through the puke sickies earlier this year around the time that the Yuskos did, and then I read about Greta getting round 2, and I think to myself, I hope that doesn’t make its way to Georgia. Guess which mom had a sick kiddo on her hands on Friday and over the weekend? This morning, I read about Gavin and notice that another one of mine is lacking color…
So I’ve come to the conclusion that this virus is spread via the internet. Lysol on a flat screen???
precious little bunny!!
Oh my goodness – the pic of sweet Nora in her Easter hat is absolutely adorable!!!
The picture of Nora in her Easter hat is just priceless! By the look on her face, she was very pleased with the end results.
Praying that Gavin has a restful day and feels better soon.
I have been so blessed by your blog in the recent weeks. I just had baby #2 and am struggling with PPD. I have literally read your blog all the way from the beginning several times. Your honesty, faith, and perspective have helped me gain the same when I am losing my mind at 3 am! Thank you so much for choosing to be a conduit of God’s grace and mercy to so many!
Also, many prayers for Nora and your whole family have gone up in the middle of the night. Again, perspective.
Hi Lauren, I saw your comment and I’m a mom to four loves. But I want you to have hope as you deal with PPD. When my second was a newborn, those first several weeks were the toughest EVER! Two little people who needed me and often at the same time. One was used to Mommy on demand, and the other was colicky. BUT a new normal came shortly after the first couple of months and life became MUCH better. Yes, my second love was demanding high maintenance baby (and toddler), but get through the next several weeks and it becomes immensely more bearable -and even enjoyable.
God bless, and may you get the rest you need to function!
😉
Nora is getting so big and such long legs…I just want to nibble on those knees…she’s so cute!
I TRULY LOVE EVERY PICTURE. NORA IS IN SUCH A HAPPY MOOD. I LOVE HER BIG SMILES, IT LOOKS LIKE SHE IS GROWING EACH AND EVERY DAY. LOVE WHEN SHE DOES THERAPY WITH STICKERS. SHE LOOKS LIKE A DOLL BABY WITH HER LITTLE EASTER HAT. THAT BIG SMILE IN THE BATH TUB JUST MELTS MY HEART. I AM SO HAPPY GAVIN IS FEELING SO MUCH BETTER. I WILL CONTINUE THE PRAYERS FOR HIM TO BE COMPLETELY FREE OF THE BUG HE HAS. HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A GOOD DAY. TELL EVERYONE I SAID HI AND TO GET WELL AND STAY WELL. HOPE GAVIN IS ABLE TO GO TO SCHOOL TOMORROW. BLESS YOU ALL SEEMS LIKE THE LITTLE BUGS CANNOT STAY AWAY FROM YOU ALL. WELL YOU ALL TAKE CARE AND I WILL CHECK BACK IN LATER. LOVE YOU ALL. GOD BLESS.
I saw this family on facebook. They too have a daughter with trisomy 18. Their daughter is just a little older than Nora. I thought I would send the link to you for their facebook page in case you wanted to connect with them. My son has a deletion on his 6th chromosome. I have been on this journey for 25 years now and I know how nice it is to connect with other families who understand.
God Bless
Marie
well helps if I include the link LOL… here it is…

I can’t tell you how much reading about Nora warms my heart. I literally cry when I see her smiling face. I am 8 1/2 months pregnant with our Rosalie who has trisomy 18. We have hope and faith in God, knowing he chose us specifically to be her parents. Your family has been such a blessing to me and such a source of encouragement. Thank you for sharing your lives with us all. ❤
Nora in her bunny hat is seriously one of the cutest pictures of her ever! I hope Gavin is better soon. Bless his heart!
I check the blog every morning to see what little miss is up to. The therapy pictures are toooooooooo cute! I’m glad Greta is home and Gavin is on the mend! The action shot cracked me up! It looked like it was about to nail him right in the face!!!! Tell everyone the Welages say hello and a sleepover is definitely long over due!
Aleisa- have u heard the song “put your record on?” By Corinne bailey Rae? It’s one of my favorites and the first line always reminds me of you! “3 little birds sat on my window and they told me I don’t need to worry!”
