THANK YOU FOR SHARING THESE WONDERFUL PICTURES. NO MATTER WHERE NORA IS OR WHAT SHE IS WEARING, SHE IS THE PRETTIEST, SWEETEST, AND HAPPIEST LITTLE GIRL. THAT BIG ” X ” IN THE SKY IS A BIG “I LOVE YOU ALL” SIGN. ALSO NOTICED THE 3 BIRDS BETWEEN THE X AND THE WIRE. LOVE TO YOU ALL. GET A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP. GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS.
I am a teacher of children with visual impairments in the New England. I just wanted to share with you that I am working with a student for the first time ever with the same diagnosis as Nora. I began in the field in 1993 and have never come across this diagnosis. This student I work with is the happiest person I have every met and greets me with a great big SMILE every week. It is always a great way to end my day before I go home and deal with the rat race of my own children’s activities.
The student I work with is 10 years old and HEALTHY! She is walking and communications using a communication system and Mayer Johnson Pictures. She may not communicate using speech but she is a very skilled communicator and is very social.
Thank you for sharing your story with the world. It has given me a greater understanding of what the parents of many of the children I work with go through. I like to read your blog to remind me to be patient and kind. The parents I work with love their children very much. These children are the lights of their lives (all children are to all parents) and I take my responsiblity of working with them very seriously. It just nice to have a glimpse of the other side.
Good luck with the heart surgery decision. I can’t imagine having to deal with that. Both my children have hearing loss and the dr’s visits for that sometimes can be overwhelming and they do not even use hearing aids! I can appreciate the craziness of all those appointments and having others to schlep around with you.
Hello my Little Chickadee! I just had to stop by and tell you that “I Love You”! Jesus and Me and Your whole BIG Family, too. Oh, and all of the people who Pray for you! NorNor, you have a BIG Fan Club! I like to talk to Jesus about you & your health and your funny Mommy, too…but, I really really like to stop hear and look at your beautiful smile! Wish I could give you a snuggle, but I’ll bet your Mommy will give you a gentle squeeze for me! Have a good nights sleep, Precious Girl! Love to each person that’s Blessed to get to live with you! “Auntie Jo”
