A Time

Thursday

Nora spent the day with Nana while I went to Bible study and then took a luxurious nap followed up with teacher conferences for the big kids in the evening. Thank you so much, Mom for staying the entire day long!

Today we busted out of the house and took a road trip to my sister’s (Aunt Sarah’s) house. Everyone in her household was certifiably cold-free so our Mom, Nora and I made a day of hanging out with Sarah and little Keira (aka Bonnie). Sooooo nice to get out on this beautiful day!

Although we had a delightful day together, my heart was saddened this morning to learn of the sudden passing of a friend from long ago. My prayers are with his family, especially his teenage son.

Wish I had time to write more, but I am completely exhausted!

For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
(Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 NLT)

  1. Nora is beautiful – thank you for telling your story with all the struggles and glories and for consistantly pointing the way to Christ as the author of your strength and joy. Praying for you and your family and that all three of your children grow strong and healthy in body and soul. “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!”

I shared a few pictures with my mom and she got particularly choked up by the 3 birds motif – we have a similar history with eagles as a sign from Yahweh – she loves to hear stories of that from others. She also thinks Nora is just gorgeous – her smile is captivating!

  2. NORA LOOKS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL IN HER LITTLE BLUE DRESS. GLAD YOU GOT TO GO TO BIBLE STUDY AND A NICE AFTERNOON NAP. IT IS SO NICE THAT YOUR MOTHER HELPS YOU WHENEVER SHE CAN. I MISS MY MOMMY SO MUCH. ALTHOUGH SHE HAS BEEN IN HEAVEN FOR 21 YEARS, IT SEEMS LIKE ONLY A FEW MONTHS AGO, AND THEN AGAIN IT SEEMS LIKE FOREVER. SHE WAS THE BACKBONE OF OUR FAMILY. EVERYONE LOVED HER SO MUCH. YOUR MOTHER REMINDS ME OF HOW SHE WAS. ALWAYS HELPING ANYONE SHE COULD, AND LOVED HER GRANDCHILDREN DEARLY. I AM SO SORRY ABOUT THE LOSS OF YOUR FRIEND. MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND ALL HIS FAMILY. GUESS I BETTER BE GETTING TO BED. AS ALWAYS, MY HUSBAND AND SON HAVE BEEN IN BED FOR SOME TIME, AND SLEEPING SOUNDLY. PRAY YOU ALL GET A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP AND A WONDERFUL DAY TOMORROW. GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS.
