Welcome Home

We are home. Just like Dorothy said, “There’s no place like home…”

I couldn't wait to get my bathies!!!!

It felt so good to be so fresh and so clean that I fell right to sleep afterward!

I am happy and sweet.

There is a bit of a concern over Nora’s weight gain, even though that cute double chin tells a different story. Specific prayer this week would be that Nora continues to do well with her soy milkies  and that she would gain all the weight that she is supposed to.

We have been so comforted and encouraged by all of your prayers. Thank you always!!

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
( 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NIV)

What a beautiful reminder this is!!! Eternal glory that far outweighs this? Sign me up!!

  1. WELCOME HOME FRIENDS. I LOVE THE PICTURE OF NORA IN THE BIG TUB. MY FAVORITE IS HER LAUGHING SO HARD. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!!!! HER LITTLE DOUBLE CHIN IS REALLY CUTE. DOES HER DOCTOR THINK SHE IS GAINING TOO MUCH WEIGHT? WHEN MY BOYS WERE ON SOY MILK, THEY ALSO GOT A LITTLE CHUBBY. I AM GLAD THE HOSPITAL NURSES AND DOCTORS WERE REALLY GOOD TO YOU GUYS. BET THEY COULDN’T BELIEVE HOW BIG NORA HAS GOTTEN SINCE HER LAST VISIT. SHE IS SUCH A DOLL BABY. ALEISA YOU REALLY ARE AN INCREDIBLE PERSON. YOUR STRENGTH IS FAR BEYOND WHAT MOST PEOPLE IN YOUR SHOES WOULD HAVE. YOUR FAITH IS MAKING YOU STRONGER AND STRONGER. KEEP THE FAITH, BECAUSE GOD IS NOT GOING ANY PLACE, HE WILL BE RIGHT THERE FOR YOU AND WILLIAM. YOU BOTH ARE SUCH GOOD PARENTS. HOPE YOU BOTH CAN GET REALLY GOOD REST TONIGHT. I ALWAYS REST BETTER IF I AM AT HOME. HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE YOU GET RESULTS ON NORA’S LITTLE HEART? GUESS I BETTER BE GETTING TO BED. GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS.

  2. I love Nora’s sweet smile. I’m sure she’s saying, “Thank you, Mommy and Daddy, for taking such good care of me. I love you!”

  3. Awesome verse at the end. I think I need to read that one every day as time feels to be at a nauseous stand still these days. Nora’s smile picture is so cute! Glad you guys are home and praying that she gains some fatties and continues to handle the meds ok. Could it be the medication causing her weight issues? Love and hugs. Sorry about my gaggy goodbye the other night, lol!

  4. Totally bummed I cannot see the pictures on my mac. Anyway, I know you don’t know us, but I grew up in Cincinnati and am following you (and praying) from Bombay, India. We live near a church called St. Andrew’s; coincidental, as our 7 month old son (named for my husband’s father, and name picked even before we were pregnant) is Andreas, Greek Andrew. The church always has these inspirational quotes posted. Most are completely hokey, made for Indians, and make no sense at all. As we are dealing with severe reflux and food allergies in a country with no ambulatory care, no EpiPens, no pediatric specialists to help, and are very overwhelmed and scared living here with this condition (being treated by Children’s over the internet from very afar), we were driving past St. Andrew’s and I said a prayer for strength and faith. The quote was changed to “The one who upholds the universe will never let you down”…and for some reason your family just popped into my head. Just thought I would share!

  5. That last picture is just soo precious! All smiles – so happy to be home. 🙂 My niece Payton was on Soy formula for awhile. She had colic when she was a newborn. She’s six months & half months old now, and we’ve finally transitioned away from soy (She’ll be on Gerber Soothe, but right now we are finishing up a Similac sample). My grandma (Payton’s great grandma) said that she didn’t think Payton liked the soy. She would drink it, but she would only take like 4 ounces at a time. Payton also uses the Dr. Brown’s bottles. I noticed you were using on of those with Miss Nora the other day. Payton is very small for her age. We’ll know Tuesday her exact weight but it may only be like 14lbs. My mom is concerned she won’t even be on the growth chart. That’s enough about Payton though…I’ll will pray that Nora gains the weight she needs and continues to do well on the Soy! God bless & thank you for keeping us all updated on Nora!

  6. The pictures are great – it is always a draw for me to go between the pictures and what you write. The picture of Little Nora in the tub for her bath is precious. She seems to really love this time. Nothing like being home in my own tub; bed; and all the rest of the familiar things. Her picture of the big smile says it all. Prayers continue for all of you and especially for the results of her tests. So glad you are home again. Sleep tight…..
