Today we had the joy and pleasure of meeting Emily and James Mummert. It was so neat to finally see them in person and to get to know them a little bit better. I knew they were good people when I found them laughing on our front porch at our welcome mat which reads, “For Shizzle, Welcome To Our Hizzle” (an artifact from my gangsta days). It was so refreshing to see the smiles on their faces despite the very human broken hearts they carry around inside. When they spoke of their sweet son it was not with the deep anguish that you would expect (and certainly could understand). They instead spoke of Harrison with great pride, confident that they would see him again someday, and understanding that God has something great in store here. Harrison, a little prophet like Nora, inspires people by the thousands and will continue to do so for generations! That is definitely something to be proud of!
I had the honor of designing a tattoo for James in memory of Harrison. James just had it done yesterday and allowed me the honor of seeing it first before he publicly unveiled it. I think it turned out beautifully, but even more beautiful is what it represents.
Here are pictures from our time together:
Thank you, Emily and James for making the drive down to see us while you were in town and for bringing us lunch! That was so sweet of you and we loved spending time with you! May God continue to richly bless you!
Let me say first that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith in him is being talked about all over the world. (Romans 1:8 NLT)
Here are some other pictures of random sweetness throughout the day today:

Bath time was soooooooo much fun!!

No place that either of us would rather be!

I was poking around in William’s phone’s picture/video gallery and found this really sweet video:
Love the video of Greta and little Nora !!.
And how Nora stares at her sister. Thanks for sharing it !!
What wonderful people you have met! I am so glad they came to visit and made your day!! God Bless them and you all!
I love how Greta just confidently picks Nora up!! How wonderful that you guys got to meet the Mummerts! A joining of the forces of everything GOOD, representing utter LOVE!
How wonderful that you got to meet!! I’m a little jealous đ
My husband wants to get a tattoo to remember our little Ryan…but I think he would like to incorporate our other two children, as well. We’re still trying to figure out how to do it. Two BEAUTIFUL families. Selfishly, I’d like to think that God only picks the best families to parent his most special angels. đ
Much love to BOTH of these beautiful families!!
Elizabeth- Mommy to angel Ryan…who is now healed of T18 in Heaven
I have been reading your blog since just before sweet Nora Rose was born. I have to tell you, as a mother, wife and a family you are ALL an inspiration. Your strength, courage, unconditional love and faith is truly awe-inspiring. I have wanted to write you a quick note for some time now and just didn’t think I had it in me. I live for your updates and pictures of your beautiful angel and her siblings. It truly is amazing all of the love, prayers and sweet words that have been showered upon you all. A testament that there are SO many great people in the world out there…and it’s even better to be able to experience and feel all of that good. My prayers will continue for all of you. Nora has been blessed with an amazing family, but on the flip side I see the blessings that she has brought to all of you. Though I know you will, please keep writing about your days and your journey. It’s uplifting, inspirational, magical and I applaud your vulnerability and what you have put out there for so many people to read. You, yourself, are truly an gift from God. GOD BLESS all of you!!!

Haha …my son will rarely let me take videos of him and I have tried in the past to act like I’m just taking a picture and then the little booger figures it out and asks the same exact question just like Greta did lol!
