Nora – FOUR WEEKS OLD!!

Nora is FOUR WEEKS OLD today!!! She got dressed up in her little party outfit to celebrate the day, with a pretty pink bow on top!

Prior to that she had her beloved sun bath.

This evening while Gavin was at baseball practice with Daddy and Greta was away at dance class, Mommy and Nora went for a longer walk past the mailboxes and down a neighboring side street. It was a beautiful evening and so nice to get out of the house!

These days seem to be going by so fast. I try so hard to savor each precious moment with this little angel. I whisper sweet things in her ears, thanking her for staying here with us, telling her how much I love her and wondering how I ever lived without her.

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE all the adorable pictures!! She is just so deliciously sweet!! I am so happy for your family! What a gift! For it is by GRACE that we have been saved, through FAITH – and it is not from ourselves, but a gift from GOD! Ephesians 2:8

  2. Oh the pictures are just beautiful!!! And I LOVE the video. She is growing and looking so good.

Thank you for sharing your sweet gift with all of us.

  3. Praying for you all from WA! What a precious little girl(s) you have. I love reading the updates every evening. 🙂

  4. Happy 1 month Birhday Baby Nora and family! She is so precious and filling out nicely too. How wonderful you and the family are able to enjoy each moment with Nora. Make Today Count! Your family continues to be in my thoughts and prayers as is Alexandria’s family. I came upon both your Blog as well as the Vogt family’s Blog as I read another. Its lovely how both families are sharing your feelings, celebrations and not so great moments in these Blogs. I believe sharing these Blogs offer great insight and a learning tool for others who may face this path in the future. Enjoy your little Nora and take care of yourselves too.
Thank you again for sharing all with us.

  5. Four weeks already? Praise the Lord!
It feels like just yesterday I stumbled upon this blog and she was like 3 days old!
Indeed she is a very big blessing to people all over the world. I must say the way that you talk about her and the way that you live out your faith is just so encouraging to me. Nora herself is such a testimony of just how wonderful God is. You as parents are a wonderful reflection of how God cares for His children; how he delights in them and how he gives them soft kisses and tender hugs. Those sun baths that little Nora takes make me think of how the Lord loves to warm us with His love. When I see the pictures of Nora sunbathing I see the Lord filling his little flower Nora with a little more love that sustains her and gets her through the day. 🙂

    Thank you for this blog.

  6. I’m sure someone else has commented on this before but, Nora’s little mouth is just the sweetest! Happy four week birthday precious girl, you’ve accomplished more in your first four weeks than most people do in a lifetime!

  7. Happy 1 month Birthday sweet baby! I’ve been faithfully reading your blog. Praying for sweet Nora. You have been so blessed! And your Faith in the midst of the trial has inspired me beyond words.

  8. What is it about a baby’s lips and mouth that is so fascinating? The way Nora purses her lips makes her look like a little bird. I am amazed at how strong she is getting – how she moved about when she was on the pillow during her sunbath. Keep up the wonderful care all of you give this precious baby, and we will continue to pray that God will
keep all of you in His care.

  9. My day isn’t complete without a little visit with you and you have no idea how your being here has changed me. Happy Birthday sweet girl!

  10. Thank you for sharing Nora with us. She is certainly a blessing from God. Happy 4-month birthday to Nora!!!

  11. I think she can’t get any cuter, and then your next set of pictures proves me wrong. Happy 4 weeks, Nora ! What a miracle, and what an amazing testimony of the power of a praying mama. oxox

  12. What a precious little girl the Lord has blessed you with! We will keep you in our prayers. And I loved the video of her sun bath.

  13. Thanks for sharing your gift with the world. And giving us a glimpse of your little blessing. I love how she responds to your voice and touch. Such a sweetheart.

  14. Happy 4 weeks old Nora. Looks like she loves the sunshine! Sure makes for a better day when the sun is shining. Your faith is amazing to all of us! God put Nora with your family for a reason. Enjoy the day.

  15. What a blessing Nora is. I was having a bad day at work and I took a couple of minutes to look at your blog and watching Nora wiggle around changed my day! She is changing the lives of many, many, many people!

  16. Happy 1 month birthday Miss Nora! I heard Kerrie Roberts- “No Matter What” the other day and thought of you Aleisa & William. You are a great example of loving and trusting no matter what.

  17. Ahhh, a girl after my own heart…worshipping the sun! Aleisa, I love watching the little video clips of her and also, in this one, I loved hearing you laugh…music to my ears! I miss you and hope you! XO!

  18. Little Nora has changed your world, but You (Aleisa) are changing the world of so many people one day, one blog and one picture at a time! Your love, wisdom, compassion and faith are helping to inspire thousands of blogees(?) to get through each and every day with more patience and faith than they had before they came upon Norah’s life story. May you continue to be blessed with Nora and with the energy to continue to share your days with all us faithful. As it’s been said before, we look forward to our daily Nora/ Aleisa fix whether it’s before we go to bed at night or first thing in the morning.
Kisses And Hugs to you all,

    Lisa

  19. I have been following your blog that I found through facebook like many others have. I continue to pray for you, your family and your sweet Nora Rose. I always think of you when I hear this song on the radio by Matt Hammitt. Not sure if you are familiar with it, but it is a great song.

    Afraid to love
    Something that could break
    Could I move on
    If you were torn away?
And I’m so close to what I can’t control
I can’t give you half my heart
And pray He makes you whole

    (Chorus)
You’re gonna have all of me
You’re gonna have all of me
‘Cause you’re worth every falling tear
    You’re worth facing any fear
You’re gonna know all my love
    Even if it’s not enough
Enough to mend our broken hearts
But giving you all of me is where I’ll start

I won’t let sadness steal you from my arms
I won’t let pain keep you from my heart
I’ll trade the fear of all that I could lose
For every moment I share with you

    Chorus

Heaven brought you to this moment, it’s too wonderful to speak
You’re worth all of me, you’re worth all of me
So let me recklessly love you, even if I bleed
You’re worth all of me, you’re worth all of me
