Happy Birthdays!!

I always have great intentions of expounding upon a brief blog post the next day – but that never seems to happen. After the kids were off to school Nora and I went back to sleep until almost 11! That was so nice! The rest of the day was spent chatting with Nora and taking orders.

She still only orders the milkies, preferably soy. When she took her naps I was busy trying to bring some sort of semblance to this place.

We’re planning on celebrating Gavin & Greta’s birthdays this weekend, which is a great excuse to purge this place of clutter. I. Hate. Clutter!

We had a simple celebration of sorts for Gavin this evening, as it was his actual birthday and Nora’s 4 month birthday!! Jimmy John’s sandwiches, a little ice cream cake, and a couple of presents along with a visit from Nana & Papa made it a fun night!

Nana & Papa came over this evening to keep an eye on aaalllll these kids while William and I went to the Jim Gaffigan (comedian) show!  Hil.Ar.I.Ous!!!!!!! It was so refreshing to get out! We had a great time. It felt really good to LAUGH for an hour and a half straight!! Thank you sooo much, Joe C. for the tickets!!

He will yet fill your mouth with laughter
and your lips with shouts of joy.

  4. Happy Birthday Gavin! Sounds like you are going to celebrate twice, the actual day and the weekend. Lucky you, have fun. And four months for Miss Nora, a blessing in itself. Nora was even treating Mom to sleeping in so she would be rested for an evening out with Dad. She is amazing in so many ways! God never ceases to bless us.

  5. Just saw Nora’s ‘adorable’ shirt, and thought, ‘aNORAble’!! :) you have renewed my faith & I look forward to your updates. Isn’t it amazing how one precious baby can affect so many people?!

  6. Hi Sweet Nora and your Mommy, too! ; )
It’s the crazy Jesus Freak lady. I stop by every single day, but I don’t leave comments. Sorry! But, Girlfriends, I think about you both and pray up a storm. I open my mac and say: “Gotta go check on “my Baby” and her Mommy and the rest of their household”! Oh, sweet girl, you are getting bigger and more beautiful in every post. Do you ever feel me rub your cheek? Or, tickle your tiny toes? It just feels like I can actually feel you, with the way your Mommy (and, You, too!!) write. I was so happy that your Mommy took a minute to send me an email awhile back, to tell me that it’s okay to be a “crazy Jesus freak” person. Now, those are MY words, not hers. She was really sweet!

Some days are harder than others, right? It’s that way for me, too. I have a tumor on my brain stem and some days I feel yucky. But, I always want to come see you! You inspire me, Nora. Your family inspires me. I feel Peace and Love here at “I Will Carry You”. And, on the really difficult days, your beautiful smile takes my mind off of the pain. I just wanted to share that with you, Little One. How I wish I could meet you in person. I’d hold you close and give you a ride in my wheelchair! My nephew, Finn, laughs a big tummy laugh when we do that. Actually, it was only one time. He came to MN. from PA. for Thanksgiving 2011 and his Mommy & Daddy & big sister and brother came over to visit for about 20 minutes. That was the first time I met him. He was only 7 months old then. But, he liked racing his brother & sister down the long hallway of my apt. bldg.. Guess who won the race? Yep! Finn and Aunt Jo! I don’t think he’ll ever be afraid of people in wheelchairs!

I need to go now, Nora. But, I’ll be back soon. Give your Mommy a hug for me, okay? And, tell Gavin and Greta “Happy Birthday” from me. Oh, one more thing… ask your Mommy if I could “borrow” a photo of you. I would like to do a blog post and let people know about the precious baby girl, who brightens my life! And, I just know that they will say lots of prayers for you, too!

    I Love You, Sweet Pea!

(I hope it’s okay to consider myself as your Honorary Auntie.)
